Comments: Ally- I dont really know how to sum up the past four years of our lives in a few words that could even begin to compare to the actual experience college has been. I am really glad that we had women's lit and intro to philosophy first semester, and back to back! It was like the forces of beyond were determined to get us to be friends. Notice how i became an english and philosophy major? I guess those classes really forshadowed the future so much more than any could have ever imagined. Im so glad and proud to call you my best friend. It really always was YOU and ME since the start and were stronger than ever at the end. So many hard times, fucked up things, and major freak outs, but there were by far so many more awesome times. I think thats because I was so fortunate to have a friend like you. I know were going to be friends forever. Heres to the future. oh, and by the way it was me who bought your box off ebay... best 3.99 I ever spent.

Comments: Hej, Ally! I remember the very first time I met you. You accompanied your Mom to a restaurant as we met to chat and you were a joy to meet even at age 8. Your smile lit up the room and then your tousled head buried itself into a book as you devotedly turned to reading throughout the meal. I swear, that book was mostly read by dessert (which, as I also recall, you similarly devoured!). It was a pleasure then and a pleasure to congratulate you now, Miss Ally. May you continue to learn and love and bring joy to all who receive the pleasure of knowing you. Way to go, girl! - Daina, Duff, Cara and Nick

Comments: Dear Ally, I am so proud of you! It's no surprise, of course. You are so wonderfully smart and talented! I'm so glad that you are graduating because you are coming to live with ME! (and for your sake too). Your friendship has meant (and still does, of course) so much to me. You are a great friend. Knowing that you are here for me, willing to understand and listen, to laugh with me and to tell me the sometimes awful truth... it makes my life more complete. Oh, I'm so cheesy! I will always be here for you. It means a lot to me that you want to share parts of your life with me. Being your friend over the years has been amazing, no matter how tough a great friendship can sometimes be! Thanks for sticking with me, though. Love, Lauren.

Comments: Dear Princess: My how you have grown from Daddy’s little girl with a big infectious smile, into a beautiful, confident, tenacious and resourceful woman. As you graduate from college, I am so very proud of you and your accomplishments. I am proud of your effort and desire to strive for excellence. I am proud of how you have such a “BIG Want To” for life! I am proud of how you have learned to s t r e t c h yourself to explore the limitless boundaries of your capabilities. I am proud of how you look ahead to what can be, not just for yourself, but others as well. And, it is that which I find as answered prayer, as I have always prayed that you would be a person with a heart of compassion. Princess, I wish you much success in life. As you go forward in life, my prayer for you is that you will be a seeker of the Truth, that Eternal Truth will be your only guide, and that Truth will be what motivates your compassionate heart to affect great change. May God richly bless you, may His light shine upon your face and guide your steps, may He protect and watch over you, and may you daily seek the Truth of the Fathers eternal love for you. Remember, ‘All is on’ for your life. Psalm 1: 1-3 All my love, Dad

Comments: Hi Allison, I want to add my congrats too. Where did those past 4 years go to? I remember when you and your mom went to Durango to check out Ft. Lewis and visited with Jill to get the scoop on living there. Your following in Jill's footsteps makes me feel good....actually, you are incredibly like her. That's probably part of why you chose Ft. Lewis. I read all the other entries for your graduation and all the adjectives I need to use to describe how I see you have been taken. Through all the years your mom and I have been friends, she's filled me in on what and how you were doing. Girl, while most of your life you've been a model child, there was a time there when you caused both your mom and me some concerns. But you came through with flying colors. ( as I knew you would.) You have been a delight to know, and to follow your adventures and I am as proud of you as I am of Jill. I love your openess, compassion, sense of adventure, confidence and enthusiasm. Those qualities will take you far. May your life be blessed. Congratulations, sweetie. bon

Comments: Dear, dear, dear Ally, You're a treat of a human being! I join in what Lee had to say about wanting Kennedy to know you. I hope that she dips into some of same genetic pool that you did or finds whatever the source is for your joyful approach to life and your ability to infect those around you with that joy. I really hope that your new job is at least half as great as it sounds and is a launching pad for wonderful adventures (with the right mix of thrill and judgement ;-) and fuels all those creative spirits lurking in you. Please don't be shy about doing blast emails to keep us posted on your travels. I really wish that I could be there for your double header celebration. I will be thinking of you a lot at the end of April. Happy trails to you and much love, Marilyn (& Gary who is happy to talk graduate school with you whenever you're ready to explore that subject again.)

You've been through plenty to get here and it has been a delight for everyone who knows you to watch you become a woman and an amazingly strong one at that. As you move on to real adult life, just promise me you won't stop singing (and, by the way, I was never mad at you during that recording session, we are still going to record those songs again). Also promise me you'll make your way back to southern California after you've soaked in enough of the rest of the world, we miss you here and you need to come help little Kennedy grow into as strong a woman as you are. Comments: Ally Shea, what can I say. Well first, congratulations on your graduation day. College can be some of the hardest, strangest, and happiest experiences of our lives. You have utilized every opportunity that has come your way, all of your extracurricular activities, living in the Basque country, and how nicely it paid off, you already have job that makes all of us jealous. A month in Puerto Vallarta, what a horrible life, poor you! There's just something about you Ally, you have a dynamic personality, and it is going to take you far; just as long as you get through your thesis project! I have had so much fun getting to know you over the last couple of months, too bad I didn't meet you sooner we could have had a lot more hilarious memories, of all of my friends I wish I could have had more time with you. I know that our paths will cross aging in the future, so you better keep in touch. Get ready for floating the river, hitting up the rope swing and jumpin' the cascades this summer before, before you start your day job in Puerto Vallarta. Congratulations Ally, you deserve it! Much Love, Mikey, P.S. Oh and WE'LL SEE YOU LATER!

Ally--In the couple years I have known and seen you, you have really matured into a self-assured, articulate woman who seems secure and confident in who you are. Good for you!! I remember when you were in my Brit Lit Survey class, you seemed so much "younger" than you do now. I'm delighted you went to Spain--it seems that experience has really opened you up in many ways. Michele Malach has told me how impressed she has been at your engagement and enthusiasm for sophisticated theoretical concepts, and I have been impressed with your writing in the Independent. Congratulations!! You've come a long way, and I wish you the best in the future--keep in touch!--Celest

Comments: Congratulations beautiful!!! Since the first day we met, I knew you were so so special. After that first drink you made me, I knew for sure. Your energy, your smile, your laugh, your warmth...i am touched by all of you. Good luck this summer with your new job. It sounds like you're going to have an incredible time love. They couldn't have picked a better person for the job. They will all find out as we all know that "you are one of the incredibles". I am so lucky that we met in this lifetime and maybe someday we'll be lucky to meet again. Whether I am here or not, know that you are always in my heart and I will never be far. This life is going to be great for you. Be open to everything and take in this beautiful life as you see, feel, touch, listen, and taste everything. In a funny kind of way, I know you so well and love you so so much. So remember: In this beautiful landscape we know as life, we choose to walk down the gallery gazing into the windows of perception hoping 2 find some truth that will either entertain or explain why or what we are doing here. You choose 2 live the reality or the illusion. You choose to observe or participate. So...if you choose the reality you choose consequence and regret. If you choose the illusion, you choose faith and the beautiful unknown. Either way know there is such thing as redemption, but even in truth there is always something left out...and more times than not it often seems to be yourself. So...live this beautiful life: "Good in the beginning, good in the middle, and good in the end." As the natives used to say: Once you know there is beauty above you... beauty below you... beauty to the left of you... beauty to the right... beauty above... and beauty below... then you know you are on the pollen path... Live the dream baby and paint your beautiful life. 1001 big big kisses, Michael

Remember to always "REACH FOR THE GOLD", don't accept second best, and always be the person you were meant to become. Lean on your faith when things don't go the way you want them to. Use your many talents to be a beacon of light in the corner of the world where you are planted. And, last, but not least, know that you are LOVED! We are so proud of your accomplishments. Happy Graduation! LOOK OUT WORLD......HERE COMES OUR GRANDDAUGHTER! Love and Hugs, Gram Bettylou and Papa Don
